IT Help Desk Analyst

Position Description & Responsibilities

Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems and mobile phones, hardware, or software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution.

Roles and responsibilities include the following:

  • Installation, assistance, and troubleshooting of laptops, printers and other various hardware technologies.
  • Installation, assistance, and troubleshooting of issues with Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2013/2016, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Anti-virus, VPN, etc.
  • Be the first point of contact for internal and external users on the following: laptop hardware and software setup, Windows operating systems and programs, system access/passwords/security, printing and network connectivity issues, VOIP, mobile phone communications, and related IT services.
  • Setting up new iPhones, troubleshoot any issue related to mobile and desk phones.
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN).
  • Install computer peripherals for users.
  • Ability to prioritize and independently manage time on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Escalate any issues to senior staff as needed.
  • Work with senior staff with the setup of new servers, data storage, network equipment, etc.
  • Eager to work with senior staff to learn new technologies including VLAN, Cisco switches/firewall, data storage, server setup, backup software, Linux, Exchange and VMWare.

Position Requirements

  • BS or BA in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in similar environment.
  • Experience working with Active Directory.
  • Experience in any of the followings is a plus: VLAN, networking, Linux, Exchange and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with iPhone setup and configurations including device management software.
  • Works collaboratively with multi-disciplinary groups in a fast-paced work environment.
  • An aptitude for working well with others.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
