Human Resources Manager

Position Description & Responsibilities

The Human Resources Manager is an integral part of the global human resources team and will provide both strategic and hands-on support to Vanda business functions. Responsible for all human resources activities related to employment, compensation, recruiting, employee relations, and learning & development for assigned business functions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partners with Vanda business teams to provide consultation and delivery of HR programs for performance management and learning and development.
  • Work with hiring managers in developing recruitment strategies and assist in the candidate selection and offer process.
  • Provide advice and consultation to management on HR issues and policies.
  • Maintain understanding of the market landscape to ensure competitiveness of compensation and benefits to attract and retain talent.
  • Applies strong functional expertise in HR tools, systems, and processes for the management and delivery of HR services

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional level HR experience, preferably in a growing company
  • BA/BS in human resources, psychology, or related field required. Masters in human resources, business, or related field preferred.
  • HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environment with geographically dispersed workforce.
  • Excellent relationship building, negotiating, problem-solving and coaching skills required
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the employee population
  • Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws
  • Basic knowledge of various HR systems and their integration
